Figure Skating Camp 30.6.-4.7.2025

Skate Imatra

Kiuru & Kuukkeli is organizing a figure skating camp in Imatra from June 30 to July 4, 2025. The camp will be led by professional coaches Lumi Kiuru and Katrin Lehtinen, who will tailor the training to each participant's skill level using a positive coaching style.

The camp welcomes skaters of all ages, especially skating families. It is suitable for skaters over 6 years old practicing single or double jumps, such as those preparing for solo assessments or national-level skaters, individual training-seeking synchronized skaters, young athletes who have ended their competitive careers, and adult skaters.

Training will take place at the Imatra Ice Hall and its surroundings. The five-day camp includes a total of 10 ice sessions, 3 dance classes, 3 off-ice sessions, and other evening activities. Imatra offers numerous experiences and activities, ensuring that non-skating family members also have engaging options.

On the ice, participants will practice single and double jumps, various spins, steps, and glides, as well as music interpretation and body usage. Dance classes will focus on basic dance elements, improvisation, and learning dance choreography. Off-ice sessions will cover daily changing themes based on essential physical attributes for figure skaters, including explosive strength, speed agility, rotational speed, active mobility, and anaerobic endurance.

The training is designed to ensure that each skater receives appropriate training for their level. The goal is to have an enjoyable week together, enabling purposeful and effective training.

The camp fee is €350 per participant (including 14% VAT). Accommodation and meals are to be booked separately.

While the full five-day camp serves participants best, a two-day camp option is also available from Monday to Tuesday. The two-day camp fee is €160, including 4 ice sessions and a total of 3 off-ice sessions.

The camp will proceed if a sufficient number of registrations are received by March, when ice bookings must be confirmed. Therefore, early registration is encouraged.

Please note that there is no separate camp supervisor; therefore, young children must be accompanied by a parent during the camp, including during breaks. Children participating in the camp should be able to function independently, such as being able to go to the restroom alone during training sessions.
